Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and dedicated A Level Biology Lecturer for a Further Education College in East Sussex.
This is a full time permanent role though they will consider temp applicants for cover too.
The role is to join a dynamic Science department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists by delivering engaging, student-centred learning experiences across both A Level Biology and BTEC Science courses.
As part of the role, you will also act as a personal tutor, providing essential pastoral support and guidance to help learners thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver high-quality teaching across A Level Biology and BTEC Science programmes
– Create engaging, student-focused lessons tailored to a range of learning styles and abilities
– Share your subject passion and industry experience to inspire learners
– Plan, assess, and provide feedback in line with awarding body requirements
– Support students\’ personal and academic development as a personal tutor
– Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
– Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments
What Were Looking For:
– Relevant experience – either in teaching or within a science-based industry role
– A strong focus on high-quality, student-centred delivery
– A relevant degree in Biology or a closely related subject
– A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS, or working towards)
– Teaching experience within the post-16 or further education sector is desirable, but not essential
