Eden Brown Education is delighted to be recruiting for a temporary People & Culture Advisor on behalf of a well-established Further Education college in West Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a busy and supportive People & Culture team, providing expert advice and guidance across a broad range of HR functions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring best practice, compliance and a positive employee experience across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include
- Providing advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, performance management, probation and change management.
- Supporting safer recruitment processes and ensuring compliance with KCSIE requirements.
- Assisting with learning and development initiatives, staff training and organisational development activities.
- Supporting wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.
- Producing accurate reports and maintaining HR records and systems.
- Building effective relationships with managers and stakeholders across the college.
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous experience within a generalist HR or People Advisor role.
- Experience handling a range of employee relations cases.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working within education or the public sector would be advantageous.
- CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be desirable
- Candidates must have a current DBS
