PURPOSE OF ROLE:
· This is a pivotal role, providing the service with strategic audit and QA expertise and to develop, lead and manage the delivery of a comprehensive service wide quality assurance and audit programme in accordance with the legislative and regulatory framework.
· Manage quality assurance systems that support high quality practice for vulnerable children and those in care and to utilise performance information to monitor and challenge practice across the service and directorate, including setting targets and assisting in inspection activity. To ensure that staff across the directorate are supported to deliver high quality services
· Liaise and advise senior managers across the service regarding QA processes including attending and providing guidance and expertise to the fortnightly Improvement Board meeting chaired by the Executive Director.
· To report to Chief Executive on the functioning of the Service as evidenced from the QA work and detailed in a prepared report. · To design and deliver training to the Service (approx. 250 people) on the QA framework.
· To be responsible for carrying out management investigations as needed and when instructed by the senior management team including reporting on data protection breaches as part of Ealing's response to the Information Commissioner's Office.
· To contribute directly to departmental strategic planning and operational management. This involves leading on Service wide initiatives and working closely with the relevant Head of service
