Join one of London's most diverse and forward-thinking local authorities. Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Child in Need (CIN) Social Worker to join a high-performing Children's Services team in the London Borough of Newham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to work with children and families in need of support, delivering purposeful interventions that achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. You will manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, developing child-centred plans, and working closely with partner agencies to safeguard and improve the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection and Children & Families cases
- Completing assessments and producing high-quality, outcome-focused plans
- Undertaking statutory visits and direct work with children and families
- Working collaboratively with education, health and partner agencies
- Preparing reports and presenting at meetings, reviews and conferences
- Ensuring all practice is in line with current legislation, policy and safeguarding procedures
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience within Children's Services
- Previous experience managing CIN and Child Protection caseloads
- Strong assessment and risk management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced statutory setting
