Eden Brown Education are recruiting for an enthusiastic Inclusive Learning Lead on behalf of a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.

This is a permanent role to start asap, part time 30 hours per week

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional to take on a leadership role supporting learners with additional needs, disabilities and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Working closely with curriculum teams and the Inclusive Learning Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring students receive the appropriate support to achieve, progress and reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading and coordinating support for learners with SEND, including High Needs students, apprentices, adult learners and ESOL students.
  • Assessing learner needs and developing effective support plans and interventions.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and ensuring a robust Assess, Plan, Do, Review process is maintained.
  • Monitoring attendance, progress and achievement to ensure positive learner outcomes.
  • Providing direct in-class support and delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions.
  • Supporting student transitions into, through and beyond education.
  • Promoting the use of assistive technologies and inclusive learning strategies.
  • Line managing and supporting members of the Inclusive Learning team.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure learners receive appropriate support and guidance.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience working with learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
  • Experience supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes and progression goals.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising or managing staff.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • A learner-focused approach and a passion for inclusive education.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and a willingness to undertake relevant training where required.
