Eden Brown Education is recruiting for a HR Assistant on behalf of a successful Further Education College in West Yorkshire.
This is a full time temporary role to start asap for ongoing cover, hours are Monday - Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused HR professional looking to develop their career within a busy education environment. The role will primarily support the colleges recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience while maintaining compliance with safer recruitment requirements.
The Role
Working as part of the Human Resources team, you will provide administrative support across the full recruitment lifecycle, helping to ensure vacancies are filled efficiently and all pre-employment checks are completed accurately and in line with statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment administration for teaching and support staff vacancies
- Coordinating interviews, assessment activities and candidate communications
- Preparing offer letters, contracts and onboarding documentation
- Processing pre-employment checks including references, right to work, DBS checks and qualification verification
- Supporting safer recruitment processes and maintaining compliance records
- Liaising with recruiting managers, candidates and external agencies
- Maintaining accurate employee and recruitment records on HR systems
Assisting with onboarding and induction activities for new starters
- Responding to recruitment and HR-related queries in a professional and timely manner
- Supporting wider HR administration activities as required
About You
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Previous experience working within an HR, recruitment or administration environment
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience coordinating recruitment processes and maintaining accurate records
