Role: Pastoral Mentor Location: Greater Manchester Type: Temporary Rate of pay: £160 per day Eden Brown are seeking a dedicated individual to provide exceptional support for learners facing pastoral and behavioural challenges, particularly those with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on behalf of a college in Greater Manchester. This is a temporary, full time, role to start as soon as possible. This role involves collaborating with teachers and other support teams across various vocational areas to address barriers to learning and ensure that students can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. The focus will be on fostering positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom, minimising disruptions, and offering emotional support to enhance resilience and participation. The role will also include raising awareness of individual learner needs within the college. Key Responsibilities: * Offer effective pastoral support to individual students or small groups who find it difficult to engage in learning, both within and outside the classroom. * Provide guidance and support for students with low-level mental health, behavioural, and additional needs, including those struggling to settle into college. * Work collaboratively with teachers, Progress Tutors, Learning Support, and the Safeguarding team to share information and signpost appropriate services. * Record all support provided to students using college systems. * Participate in college-wide duties, such as meet and greet, lunchtime supervision, enrolment, well being activities, and exam access arrangements.
