Eden Brown are seeking an Essential Learning Support Officer to join our dedicated team and provide vital support to learners on A level, Advanced BTEC, and GCSE programmes on behalf of a leading sixth form in Manchester. This is a full time, temporary role from September for 1 academic year, the hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general support with study skills to individuals and small groups, including those with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
  • Offer learning and personal support both in-class and during independent study periods.
  • Assist learners with literacy challenges, help keep students motivated and focused, and support with note-taking.
  • Carry out examination invigilation for students who have special exam arrangements.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone with a degree qualification (essential).
  • Experience supporting 16-19-year-olds or working in a secondary education environment.
  • Some experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) support is beneficial; voluntary experience is welcome.
  • A patient, encouraging, and adaptable individual who can make a real difference in students' academic journeys.
