Eden Brown are working with a well-known Regional Charity as they are seeking a highly experienced Housing Advice and Homelessness Manager to work on a permanent contract in Liverpool.
The role as Housing Advice and Homelessness Manager will involve:
- Managing a team of 10 support advice officers.
- Fostering an environment where meaningful connections are made with service users which maximise engagement and take up of services on offer.
- Maintaining a detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant housing, welfare rights and benefits legislation and acting as a central resource providing expert advice and assistance which resolves or prevents homelessness or housing need.
- Having a working understanding of asylum and immigration legislation.
- Working with key partners to negotiate and inspire successful solutions and outcomes for service users; where appropriate, constructively challenging assessment decisions or exclusions.
- Co-ordinating and supporting staff to develop and deliver effective needs and risk assessments, initial crisis intervention and support. This will include some direct provision.
- Supporting and coordinating staff to collaborate with service users to develop tailored support plans which maximise each individual's potential and ability to be self-determining.
- Working with other advice agencies to ensure a co-ordinated approach which maximises the range of advice available to service users.
