The Role
We\’re looking for a steady, reassuring presence to bolster our People team during a major transition to Workday. Working three days a week for six months (maternity cover), you\’ll give the team extra bandwidth, keep service levels high, and help employees feel supported throughout the change.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Lend hands-on support to wider HR initiatives, especially those linked to the Workday rollout.
- Manage on-boarding and off-boarding processes, including pre/ post new joiner logistics, right to work processing, digital file management, employee eligibility and entitlements, holidays, first/ last day processes, coordination and delivery of HR induction
- Management of HR/Payroll Operations & HR Portal mailboxes, responding/ fielding enquiries from in/ outside the business in a timely manner
- Responsibility for co-ordination of monthly payroll process including collation of data and production of reports/ documents
- Maintenance of holiday and absence system/ records across the UK and EMEA region
- Coordination of employee/ company benefit data/ schemes
- Creation and maintenance of accurate employee records/ changes to employment information/ data across HR/ business systems
- Administration of salary review, bonus and other HR processes
- Coordination of vendor/ supplier documentation and invoice management
- Liaising with freelancers, contractors and third party vendors
- Creation and delivery of analytical data/ reports
- Involvement in HR projects as required
Skills Required
- Workday familiarity (highly desirable) or experience with comparable HRIS.
- Calm, supportive demeanour; able to steady the team in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear communicator—both written and verbal—across all organisational levels.
- Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and time-management skills; unflappable under pressure.
- Proven discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Confident stakeholder manager with solid business acumen.
- First-class attention to detail and commitment to exceptional, customer-focused service.
- Problem-solver who spots root causes and proposes practical fixes.
- Advanced MS 365 skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
