What You’ll Do:
- Partner with HR, the C-suite, and business leaders to advise on global employment matters, including offers, terminations, performance management, and workplace policies.
- Lead employment-related projects such as policy rollouts, training programs, and mobility initiatives.
- Draft and refine employment documents, agreements, and processes to align with global best practices.
- Develop strategies for resolving employment disputes, including pre-litigation and litigation management.
- Create and deliver impactful training on topics like harassment prevention and effective management.
- Collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams to shape policies and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.
- Dive into special projects that keep Edelman at the forefront of global employment innovation.
Who You Are:
- You’re more than just a legal expert—you’re a trusted advisor and a collaborative partner. You have:
- Experience: A law degree and plus 10+ years specializing in global labor and employment matters.
- Knowledge: Expertise in UK, EMEA law. Middle East experience will be a bonus. This is a global role so a strong grasp of international regulations, including union and works council experience is a must. Please note: You are not expected to be an expert in all geographies as there will be opportunities to work with local outside counsel when required.
- Future-Facing Trends: Ability to keep pace with the latest key trends in employment law eg. Remote working, use of AI and technology etc.
- Leadership: A knack for managing complex projects, making sound decisions, and mentoring others.
- Pragmatism: A problem solver who brings practical solutions to the table with a high attention to detail.
- Communication: Stellar written and verbal skills, with the ability to simplify legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
- Resilience: Calm under pressure, adaptable to change, and equipped with a sense of humor.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an ability to work with diverse teams across the globe.
