About the Role – A Rare Opportunity to Drive Change
We are seeking a T-shaped, passionate self-starter eager to transform our approach to business development. Part growth strategist, part operational leader, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact at a leading global agency while working closely with office leadership and advancing our body of intellectual capital. This is a regional-level role, working closely with market growth leads to align business development strategies, best practices, and operational excellence across EMEA. This role is primarily focused on day-to-day business development while contributing to strategic workstreams within Edelman’s three growth pillars:
- Top of Funnel Activity – Strengthening lead generation, optimizing prospecting tools, and enhancing the pipeline.
- Transforming Business Development Operations – Improving workflows, integrating AI, and ensuring data-driven processes.
- Converting Big Integrated Wins – Supporting high-value, cross-practice opportunities through strategic training and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Market Growth Execution - Identify, research, and support the pursuit of high-value new business opportunities across EMEA. Work closely with market growth leads to develop and execute prospecting strategies and ensure local and regional growth alignment. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify and act on emerging opportunities. Lead and support pipeline management, ensuring accurate tracking and qualification of leads.
- Pitch Execution & Proposal Development - Drive and support RFP (Request for Proposal) responses, ensuring strategic alignment with Edelman’s offerings. Collaborate with internal teams to collect insights, case studies, and credentials for pitches. Assist in crafting winning presentations and business cases for high-profile opportunities.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement - Build and maintain C-suite relationships, serving as a key connector between potential clients and agency leadership. Partner with senior leadership, market leads, and sector heads to enhance client engagement strategies. Represent Edelman externally at industry events, reinforcing the agency’s presence and expertise.
- Operational Excellence & AI Integration - Support the training, development, and rollout of One Process across EMEA to standardize new business operations. Work with the team to simplify workflows, automate processes, and integrate AI-powered tools to enhance business development. Maintain and update the Growth Knowledge Hub, ensuring teams have access to the most relevant tools and resources.
- Training & Internal Development - Help design and coordinate training sessions on best practices in business development, prospecting, and pitch execution. Support onboarding for new team members, ensuring they understand key methodologies and business development tools. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, helping upskill teams on growth strategies and operational efficiency.
