Ede and Ravenscroft supplies ceremonial robes and tailoring for all occasions, dresses the judiciary (including providing handmade wigs) and ensures that graduates from all over the world look their best at graduation ceremonies. We are currently recruiting 9 fixed-term, full-time Warehouse Operatives.
40hrs per week: 07:00 – 16:00 Mon to Thurs, 07:00 to 13:00 Fri (flexible working hours across Mon‑Sun during our peak period). A start time of early May. There will be some overtime available during peak periods.
Main duties will include:
- Prepare and pack customer orders for distribution to ceremonies
- Use of appropriate systems to enable accurate and swift packing of orders, ascertaining any special requirements from customers
- Printing tickets using the information to source the required products ensuring correct size and additional products are located and picked
- Folding garments appropriately attaching relevant tickets and updating the system
- Ensuring garments are packed in correct size grouping
- Accountability for quality and efficiency
- Operating and lifting hampers and trays
- Reviewing of all stock upon return from ceremonies distributing items to correct division such as cleaning/repairs, guaranteeing the required standards remain when items are next dispatched
- Maintaining stock and putting items in correct storage area
- Having the ability to learn and work in a multi-skilled warehouse, undertaking training as required
- Assist with any other duties across the Warehouse when necessary
- Support with training temporary employees during seasonal periods
- Responsibility for yourself and others in accordance with current Company Health & Safety Regulations
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Have attention to detail and ability to follow instructions within expected timescales
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment
- Be comfortable using computers
- Have enthusiasm when trying new methods of working to improve productivity
- Be able to work overtime and some weekends when required during peak periods
- Beneficial to have previous experience within a Warehouse role with manual handling knowledge
