Eddison’s is a leading firm of chartered surveyors and property consultants, with over 30 offices across the UK and a proud heritage dating back to 1844. Our team delivers innovative solutions to clients in property, development, and infrastructure across both the public and private sectors.

We’re now looking to strengthen our Development Consultancy team with the appointment of a Transport Planner who thrives in private practice and has a strong background working with developer clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans to support planning applications for development schemes.
  • Carry out junction capacity modelling using JUNCTIONS, LINSIG, and other industry-standard software.
  • Undertake data analysis and produce clear, evidence-based reports for submission to local authorities and clients.
  • Liaise effectively with local authorities, highway officers, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Manage projects independently while collaborating with internal teams across planning, agency, and building consultancy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in private consultancy—ideally in a multidisciplinary or transport-specific firm.
  • Proven experience advising developer clients on planning and transport matters.
  • Proficiency in junction modelling and capacity analysis tools such as JUNCTIONS, LINSIG, etc.
  • Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio of professionally produced reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Flexibility in working patterns with a minimum of three days per week based in-office preferred.
