Eddison's bid function has achieved sustained growth over the last four years, which has led to successful appointments onto multiple frameworks and average annual business wins of £2m +. Eddison's bid team require an additional member of staff that will assume the role of Bid Coordinator to work on the following:
- Researching framework opportunities at sector/regional level to align with our office network and improve our access to local authority contracts.
- Supporting the business with completion of more complex supplier questionnaires and providing supporting documentation.
- Sifting of multiple daily alerts and portal opportunities, which may require portal registration, EoI, downloading of Tender Pack and liaising with stakeholders to determine the Bid/No Bid Decision.
- Creating project folders and updating Bid Tracker with new opportunities and outcomes.
- Managing incoming emails to the shared ‘Bids’ and ‘CCS’ inboxes.
- Supporting a growing number of Frameworks with MI and support clients/staff with the Direct Award process.
- Logging and reporting Social Value for each contract (more so with new Procurement Act).
- Management of the Bid Library to update with the latest collateral, information, model answers, etc.
- Supply Chain Management (currently no time to action).
The benefit of this role is that it will allow us to address some of the inherent volume of administrative activities and increasing volume of tenders which are needing to be serviced, ultimately we believe this will allow us to increase turnover by investing more of our time in writing and project managing bids.
As part of our growing team, our Bid Coordinator will provide a range of essential support to the business, including:
- Managing the Bid Team ‘Inbox’ of incoming emails from colleagues and clients.
- Reviewing daily tender alerts, logging relevant opportunities onto Microsoft Dynamics, creating bid packs and summaries for circulation to relevant colleagues and updating the company ‘Bid Tracker’.
- Completing and submitting SQs, RFIs, and supporting on ITT responses.
- Managing the Eddisons bid library and contributing to the development of standard collateral across our services lines.
- Supporting the Framework Manager & Deputy Framework Manager with the management of our portfolio of Frameworks and associated MI returns.
- Being super organised with sound project management skills and excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and senior stakeholders.
- Having exceptional attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Enjoying working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
