EDC Air Compressors is Scotland's leading supplier of SCR air compressors. We are highly skilled in servicing, installation and repair, including both oil-injected and oil-free systems. Operating in industries such as distilling, manufacturing, chemical and food & drink, we are known for our strong partnerships with clients, aiding them in operational excellence and energy-saving strategies. We also conduct air compressor energy surveys, pressure vessel testing, leak detection, servicing and repair, all whilst providing practical solutions to meet modern engineering needs across Scotland.
This is a full-time role for a Junior Compressed Air Service Engineer based in Scotland. The role involves assisting in the maintenance, servicing and repair of compressed air systems for a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of compressed air systems and equipment (e.g., air compressors, dryers, filters, pipework).
- Support senior engineers on customer sites and in the workshop.
- Learn to diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Attend training courses and complete all required assessments.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
- A genuine interest in engineering and mechanical and electrical systems.
- Good practical skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Full UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one (desirable).
- NAT 5 Qualifications in Maths, English, and Science – Grade 4/C or above preferred.
