The Firm: EDC Lord is one of the largest multi-practice firms of solicitors in the locality and has been in practice for over 100 years. We are Law Society WIQS and CQS accredited. We are proud of our history and having served the local community and families for many years.
The Role: To join the expanding private client department as a fee earner, the successful candidate will be handling bespoke complex and high value estate administration, will drafting and lasting power of attorney preparation. There are also opportunities to develop your career in legal services and progression within the firm.
Candidates are expected to be able to:
- Probate: Deal with new enquiries, take instructions, establish assets and liabilities of the estate, prepare inheritance tax forms and applications for Grant of Representation, undertake work covering the administration of assets including properties, preparing administration accounts, calculation of tax liabilities during the administration.
- Wills: Deal with new enquiries, take instructions, preparing and drafting, execution.
- Lasting Power of Attorney: Deal with new enquiries, take instructions, preparing and drafting.
The successful candidate will be committed and have an ambition to progress to potential partnership level opportunities.
