For this role, we are looking for a hands-on and focused BIM Coordinator who can uphold EDC's approach to quality-driven success. You must have a minimum of 3 years Building Services Consultancy Design experience and will be a competent user of 3D modelling tools including REVIT MEP and an experienced user of BIM. This role is primarily office/home based with the occasional representation at EDC client meetings as required. Responsibilities include:
- Design management of projects as appropriate to ensure deadlines are met.
- Carry out M&E design work as applicable using REVIT MEP and Navis delivering constructible 3D clash free models for EDC’s clients.
- Attend BIM coordination meetings as required representing EDC as a specialised BIM professional.
- Offer technical guidance and training to junior and intermediate staff.
- Ensure BIM & CAD standards are upheld.
Education & Experience:
- Diploma/Certificate in BIM or Engineering, Revit training desirable.
- 5 Years’ experience in an MEP Building Consultancy, producing drawings using 3D Modelling tools.
- Ideally at least 2 years using REVIT MEP.
- BIM experience essential.
- Experience in residential, commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial projects.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Possess a good knowledge of the practicalities of design, and the ability to make informed design decisions.
- Understand overall workings of BIM Modelling is essential, and the ability to fill in for senior staff when required.
- Basic understanding for LEAN principles.
- Ability to identify modelling and timeline risks to ensure client deadlines are met.
- Ability to organise BIM team and prioritise modelling elements when required.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple jobs/tasks.
- Drive excellence through high-quality work.
- Proactive approach to work with a strong team spirit.
- Confident to speak up and make decisions.
