A leading international consultancy is seeking an experienced IT Procurement professional to join its growing procurement and supply chain practice in the UK. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, delivering high-impact procurement and commercial outcomes on complex technology-related initiatives. Due to continued growth within the technology procurement function, the team is looking to expand its capability across areas including Enterprise Software, IT Services and Cloud Solutions.

The successful candidate will work alongside senior stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, optimise supplier relationships and deliver measurable value across major technology spend categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement effectiveness, commercial performance and operational outcomes for clients.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with business objectives and deliver sustainable value.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels of client organisations.
  • Support the development of sourcing requirements, specifications and market engagement strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships and stakeholder communications throughout project delivery.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and support clients through complex sourcing exercises.
  • Provide guidance on contractual and commercial terms to help mitigate risk and maximise value.
  • Support implementation planning and ensure successful execution of agreed initiatives.
  • Deliver successful outcomes across large-scale, complex and often international procurement programmes.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of technology markets, supplier landscapes and industry developments, providing informed advice to clients.
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience within IT procurement, sourcing or category management.
  • Strong track record negotiating with major technology vendors across global markets.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following categories: Enterprise Software, IT Services, Cloud Infrastructure and Hosting.
  • Experience managing high-value technology spend, typically in excess of $50 million annually.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong understanding of indirect procurement and strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Experience delivering procurement transformation or change management initiatives.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and presentation development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing capabilities.
