Edbro is the market leader in the field of vehicle-mounted hydraulics systems, including front-end, underbody and ejector cylinders, waste handling equipment and customised hydraulic kit solutions. Job Summary: Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager you will use modern maintenance systems and techniques to maintain business as usual for the plant operations. On a day-to-day basis you will be supporting on project work to optimise and continuously improve availability/reliability of the equipment. You will provide an effective and proactive maintenance service utilising Planned Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance techniques to ensure efficiency and cost targets are exceeded and that best practice maintenance management is used. What will you do? * Utilising your mechanical/electrical experience you will support the business in meeting its efficiency and cost targets. * CNC, robotic machinery along with automated processes. * Read and following mechanical drawings * Identify and resolve health and safety issues relating to maintenance * Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing faults in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is kept to a minimum * Identify maintenance improvements to production equipment. * In conjunction with production colleagues carry out root cause analysis to resolve issues * Utilise and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure its effective usage. * Liaising with Supervisors about breakdowns and handover once completed. * Dealing with external contractors and requesting parts as needed. What will you need: * You will need a minimum of 5 years’ post Apprenticeship experience together with an ONC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. * Previous experience of CNC machines would be an advantage. * Hydraulic and pneumatic experience desirable * Proven mechanical fitting experience in an engineering environment. * Basic welding (preferable but not essential) * IPAF licence to drive MEWP’s (preferable but not essential) * The flexibility to work a 2-shift pattern and occasional overtime. * Ability to use personal knowledge, training, and experience to make rapid decisions when in a breakdown situation, and follow through with a plan, adapting to the situation as required, and communicating the decision-making process to those affected. The working pattern will be 12 hour shift, 3 days per week Monday – Saturday on a rotating shift system
