- Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Treasury & Tax Operations to join our team at EDB, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Global Controller.
In this hands‑on role, you will run the day‑to‑day treasury and tax operations of EDB’s global business across multiple entities, banks and currencies, owning payment approval oversight and bank portal access and signatory governance, coordinating US indirect tax compliance with our external providers, and supporting cash management and investments, corporate income tax and transfer pricing.
You will partner closely across our Controllership team, as well as FP&A, Legal and our external tax advisors.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with EDB’s senior Finance leadership, with high visibility and a genuine position of influence over critical functions.
The ideal candidate is a controls‑minded treasury and tax professional who has personally run payment, banking and indirect tax operations for a multi‑entity, multi‑currency business, takes ownership without needing direction, and keeps a lean function accurate, secure and audit‑ready.
- What Your Impact Will Be
- Payment Controls & Treasury Operations
- Oversee the approval workflow for payments across global bank accounts, ensuring payments are in compliance with approval limits, segregation of duties and company policy.
- Own the payment request process, escalating unusual or out‑of‑policy requests, and work with banks and internal stakeholders to resolve rejected, delayed or failed payments.
- Maintain the payment approval matrices and authority limits.
- Schedule and execute debt service payments, including interest, repayments and agency fees.
- Support the bank reconciliations process, resolve treasury‑related queries, and support internal and external audit requests related to treasury controls.
- Bank Administration & Access Controls
- Process user access updates for bank portals and treasury systems based on leadership approvals, applying role‑based permissions on the principle of least privilege.
- Remove access promptly for leavers and role changes, and perform periodic user access reviews across all banking platforms.
- Partner with Legal to add or remove authorized signatories, preparing and tracking board resolutions, incumbency certificates and bank mandates.
- Own day‑to‑day bank KYC and AML requirements, including account openings, periodic refreshes and lender requests, partnering with Legal on entity documentation.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date signatory register across all entities, accounts and banks.
- Cash Management & Investments
- Partner with FP&A on the consolidated 13‑week cash flow forecast, reviewing bank data feeds for accuracy and providing insight on cash positioning, timing and opportunities to optimize liquidity.
- Coordinate intercompany funding across EDB’s global entities, assessing entity‑level cash needs, executing funding movements and maintaining the funding log, working with regional accounting teams.
- Execute approved short‑term cash investments, including money market and deposit activity, monitoring yields, liquidity and counterparty exposure.
- Prepare regular treasury reporting for senior leadership, covering cash position, liquidity, investments and bank counterparty exposure.
- Champion automation and AI to continuously improve treasury and tax processes, documentation and controls.
- Tax Operations
- Prepare data and coordinate filings for US sales and use tax, including returns, nexus monitoring and new state registrations, and support indirect tax compliance globally.
- Prepare corporate income tax estimates, and execute and track tax payments, including withholding tax on cross‑border payments.
- Coordinate R&D tax credit claims with our external advisors, gathering qualifying payroll, contractor and project data from Engineering and People.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for our external tax providers, managing data requests and deadlines, and helping us use them more efficiently.
- Support intercompany settlements in line with our transfer pricing policy.
- Take a leading role on indirect tax matters for acquisitions and integrations, and support ad‑hoc tax and transfer pricing projects.
- What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of experience in treasury, tax or a closely related finance role in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
- Strong understanding of payment controls, segregation of duties and user access governance.
- Experience preparing bank documentation (KYC, mandates, incumbency certificates, signatory changes) across multiple banking partners and jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with cross‑border payments, withholding tax, intercompany settlements and short‑term cash investments.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Avalara & Net Suite strongly preferred.
- Experience in a high‑growth or private‑equity‑backed technology company strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
- What Will Give You An Edge
- Hands‑on experience overseeing payment approval workflows and administering multi‑bank portals; Citi Direct or comparable platforms a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with US sales and use tax compliance, including multi‑state registrations and filings; exposure to global indirect tax (VAT/GST) a plus.
- Experience with Pigment or a comparable planning tool a plus.
- Professional qualification in treasury (AMCT or CTP), tax (CTA, or IPT’s CMI in sales and use tax) or accounting (CPA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), completed or in progress, a plus.
