- Derivation of System Architecture, system feasibility
- Technical engagement, coordination and integration with third-party suppliers
- Creation, review and approval of system requirements and technical specifications

- Smart Phone projections (Car Play, Android Auto)
- Media services (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal)

The Company is open to considering alternative engagement arrangements, including a self-employed basis, subject to mutual agreement.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree 2:1 or above
- +5 years’ experience of automotive programmes preferably in Digital Cockpit systems
- Minimum 5 years' experience in at least one of the following features:
- Navigation / route guidance / map integration
- Voice assistant systems (embedded or cloud)
- Media and streaming integration
- Smartphone projection systems (CarPlay / Android Auto)
- System UI languages translation
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs (navigation, media, voice)
- Familiar with Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and API specification management
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in automotive infotainment UX/UI or HMI systems
- Understanding of multi-display environments: Centre console + instrument cluster + head-up display (HUD), Seamless transitions between displays
- Knowledge of UX principles for safety-critical automotive applications (minimal driver distraction, glanceability, accessibility)
- Ability to overcome cultural barriers
- Demonstrate strong customer, team & supplier management skills
- An ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to manage time effectively under tight and rigid deadlines
- Significant experience of system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration and acceptance testing; applying Systems Engineering principles in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
- Capable of decomposing High-Level requirements into the Vehicle and System level and of the converse, providing design guidance to ensure that system designs are backed up by higher level product and legal requirements
- Experience in IBM Rational DOORS, Jama or similar is essential
- Previous experience with automotive network designs (CAN/Ethernet/LIN) is essential
- Experience in using JIRA is essential
- AGILE or similar for daily Task management is strongly preferred
- Experience in Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML tooling is strongly preferred
- Experience with diagnostic standards such as UDS, DoIP and design for manufacture
- Developing technical leadership skills recognised by a wide development team as a reference point for the architectural design, and providing technical guidance to peers
- Evidenced knowledge of standards such as Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 and SUMS (Software Update Management System)
