The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key interface between EDAG and the customer(s) for interior commodities including seats, restraints, interior lights, cockpit and console – with the ability to professionally interact with clients on-site and off-site.
  • Support meetings, e.g. steering committees, project reviews, start-up meetings, etc.
  • Direct and liaise with local and EDAG Group technical design/engineering resource to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation.
  • Maintain customer’s part release system.
  • Collaborate with interior system suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events.
  • Control data maturity and status including recording and tracking issues.
  • Track interior targets including function, timing, performance, cost weight and quality.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews for the resolution of technical issues.
  • Support prototype, pre- and production vehicle builds.
  • Provide the interface for all functions of the programme team.
  • Demonstrate EDAG's excellent reputation while working directly and seamlessly with customers on their projects.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree 2:1 or above.
  • +5 years’ experience of automotive programmes preferably in Body Interior systems.
  • Ability to overcome cultural barriers.
  • Demonstrate strong customer, team & supplier management skills.
  • An ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to manage time effectively under tight and rigid deadlines.
  • Ability to identify key project attributes targets related to the role and support through the appropriate level of vehicle/system analysis.
  • Relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various Seat parts.
  • Ability to perform interior packaging study of the components.
  • Demonstrate FMEA and root cause analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, ideally Green Belt qualified.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio.
