Responsibilities

  • Elicitation and management of stakeholder requirements
  • Derivation of System Architecture and system feasibility assessment
  • Technical engagement, coordination and integration with third‑party suppliers
  • Creation, review and approval of system requirements and technical specifications
  • Validation planning, test specification, vehicle verification and validation
  • Support Digital Cockpit Domain features: Native Navigation, Voice Assistant, Media Services (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal), Smart Phone projections (CarPlay, Android Auto)
  • Attribute requirements definition
  • Use case diagram development
  • User needs analysis
  • Feature list and feature behaviour specification
  • Architecture requirements definition
  • UX/UI system definitions
  • SDK integration requirements
  • API specification documentation
  • Certification and licensing requirements and process documentation
  • Model‑based system simulation (e.g., Simulink / System Composer)

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with 2:1 or above
  • Ability to overcome cultural barriers
  • Strong customer, team and supplier management skills
  • Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and manage time under tight and rigid deadlines
  • Significant experience in system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, system integration and acceptance testing; applying Systems Engineering principles to solve complex technical issues in a structured manner
  • Capable of decomposing high‑level requirements into vehicle and system level and vice versa, providing design guidance to ensure system designs are backed by higher level product and legal requirements
  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS, Jama or similar is essential
  • Previous experience with automotive network designs (CAN/Ethernet/LIN) is essential
  • Experience using JIRA is essential; AGILE or similar daily task management is strongly preferred
  • Experience in Model‑based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML tooling is strongly preferred
  • Experience with diagnostic standards such as UDS, DoIP and design for manufacture
  • Developing technical leadership skills recognised by a wide development team as a reference point for architectural design, and providing technical guidance to peers
  • Evidenced knowledge of standards such as Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO 21434 and SUMS (Software Update Management System)
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
