Contract: FTE Contract (12 months with possible extension)
Location: Customer (North West): Hybrid, minimum 4 days per week onsite
Area: Electrical Engineering
End‑to‑End & Integration Testing
- Plan and execute system, integration, and end‑to‑end testing for a connected car online service in development
- Define test approach, scope, and test types
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases using structured test management tools
- Validate interactions between:
- Vehicle software
- Backend / online services within the Group environment
- Mobile app and in‑car HMI components
Issue Analysis & Resolution
- Analyse technical issues identified during testing or integration activities
- Create, manage, and track defect tickets in line with defined SLAs
- Support root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering and IT teams
- Coordinate retesting and verification of implemented fixes
Coordination & Stakeholder Interaction
- Work closely with engineering, IT, and digital service teams onsite
- Coordinate testing activities with internal and external stakeholders
- Support regional or market‑specific testing activities where required
- Maintain clear communication regarding test status, risks, and issues
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain test documentation, execution results, and evidence
- Provide regular test status updates and reporting
- Support release readiness and quality assessment activities
- Other tasks as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
- Experience in automotive testing, system testing, or integration testing
- Good understanding of connected car or digital vehicle services
- Hands‑on experience working with vehicles and/or automotive test rigs
- Proven experience with defect management and test tracking tools
- Structured and analytical working style
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of vehicle telemetry, online services, or backend‑integrated systems
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Prior onsite delivery experience within OEM test organisations
- Desired tool experience: ODIS, CP Tool, iDEX
- Desired tool experience: Vector CANoe / CANalyser
- Desired tool experience: JIRA, Confluence
- Degree educated in relevant field. ECUK registration would be beneficial
- Effective teamwork skills in a global team environment
- Effective in solving quality challenges
- High level of analytical ability, where problems are unusual and difficult
- MS-Office proficiency
- Willingness to travel to customer location as required, local and global
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with German as a plus
