Yard Worker to join our Sheffield, MA location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Greet customers in the yard and warehouse areas when they arrive to pick up purchased materials.
- Review invoice tickets to ensure accurate product selection.
- Assist customers with loading materials into their vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Direct customers to additional pickup locations when necessary to complete orders.
- Process and handle invoice tickets according to company procedures.
- Receive delivery orders and prepare materials for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Verify incoming vendor deliveries against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Assist with inventory counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate powered industrial trucks and complete daily equipment inspection checklists.
- Cover and protect materials from weather‑related damage when required.
- Report building maintenance and equipment repair needs to management.
- Participate in required training programs.
- Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude in all duties.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
- Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and equipment safely.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and remain physically active throughout the workday.
