We’re partnering with a fast-growing online fashion business headquartered in Manchester, with teams across the UK, Europe, China and the USA. With over 30 employees, three fashion brands (two under licence), and sales across Marketplaces, D2C and Wholesale, the business has grown rapidly over the last five years — and there’s more to come, including expansion into the UAE in the next three months.
To support this next phase of growth, we’re looking for an experienced Import, Shipping & Trade Logistics Manager to take ownership of global logistics, inventory accuracy and international trade compliance. This is a key, hands-on role based at the Manchester head office, working closely with senior leadership, finance, and the China-based team. You’ll manage the end-to-end logistics operation, ensuring stock is accurately tracked across 8 warehouses in the UK, EU and China, while driving improvements through a newly developed in-house ERP system.
- Manage inventory across multiple international 3PL warehouses, ensuring systems accurately reflect physical stock levels
- Oversee end-to-end import/export operations, including shipping, customs clearance and documentation
- Coordinate closely with China-based suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping companies and customs brokers
- Manage logistics and shipping costs, including freight, duties and taxes
- Drive improvements to warehousing and stock movement processes using the new in-house ERP system
- Anticipate and mitigate risks such as shipping delays, regulatory changes and geopolitical issues
- Ensure wholesale and D2C deliveries are communicated clearly for timely invoicing
- Keep all stakeholders informed on shipment status and delivery updates
You’ll be an experienced logistics professional from the fashion, apparel or footwear sector, confident operating in a fast-paced, international environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar import/export or trade logistics role
- Proven experience managing multi-warehouse inventory systems
- Solid understanding of ERP and inventory management systems (Cin7 preferred, not essential)
- Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and SUMIF)
