We are seeking a highly skilled PMO Lead to establish and manage our clients Project Management Office (PMO). In this pivotal role, you will oversee project governance, methodology and portfolio management to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
The PMO Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success, streamline processes and ensure that resources are effectively utilised.
PMO Establishment and Governance :
Define and implement the PMO framework, policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to best practices and governance standards across all projects.
Monitor compliance with project management methodologies.
Portfolio and Program Management :
Oversee the portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Track and report on project performance, risks and resource allocation.
Provide oversight and guidance for program managers and project teams.
Stakeholder Management :
Act as the primary liaison between project teams, stakeholders and senior leadership.
Resource and Capacity Planning :
Manage and optimise resource allocation across multiple projects.
Identify skill gaps and work with HR and leadership to address training needs.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing project outcomes and identifying lessons learned.
Innovate and implement tools, templates and processes to enhance project delivery efficiency.
You will have previous experience as a PMO Lead or alternatively be in a position where you are ready to make the step up into a leadership role.
Proven experience in leading a PMO or in a senior project/program management role.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA or similar).
Analytical mindset with experience in portfolio management and performance metrics.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Certified Practitioner) are highly desirable.
Experience within the supply chain, logistics or related industries is a plus.
