The Company: We are working on a very exciting project with a business that has one simple ambition to make food that has a positive impact and improve the health of consumers around the world! Privately owned and backed by founders with a wealth of experience and knowledge, this business has all the ingredients to build a brand that is going to make a real difference. We have one of the best teams in place - national listings with 2 top 4 Grocery retailers, broken the multi-million turnover objective year one and are absolutely flying! There are not many 'brands' in the FMCG market to look out for but these guys definitely are; they are a BCorp and have already succeeded in bagging themselves multiple Grocer Awards! With huge ambitions and masses of investment, it is the perfect time to join their talented team and join the food revolution.
The Role: Due to exponential growth we are looking for food obsessed, commercially driven National Account Manager with proven experience driving distribution and growth year on year with key UK Grocery retailers. This is an immediate start role - You could also be a Buyer at a top 4 retailer who is keen to use your knowledge and grow a brand on the other side of the fence. Most important of all though is you must want to work in a truly mission led brand who pride themselves on taste first and their BCorp status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full strategic responsibility for grocery customers
- Full management of P&L
- Working with a tight knit Technical, Ops and Marketing Team on NPD launches and recommendations
- Getting stuck in with a start-up mentality; no two days are the same!
- Investigate wider growth opportunities potential in OOH/Foodservice Channels
- Be heavily involved in further Sales Team growth; we expect to hire 2 more in the New Year
Your Background:
You will already have a strong background in large all SME branded FMCG business and have experienced full or a smaller brand/category ownership on top 4 Grocery retailers in the UK market. Or be a Buyer looking to work for a purpose led brand on the 'other side' using all of your grocery retail knowledge to grow the channel. You must come from an FMCG background with a preference for food; this is a purpose and mission led BCorp brand - really getting behind the mission is vital in an SME environment. This will become a Head of Retail within 2 years so be prepared for rapid progression!
What we need:
- Experience in a Top 4 Grocery retail as a National Account Manager or Buyer.
- FMCG large business training background or strong branded SME experience
- You must be driven by mission and have a strong affinity to BCorp.
- Strong relationship skills, both internally and externally as this is a Founder led brand.
- You must be willing to do things outside of the usual NAM box! This is an SME!
- Example of above - product sampling, packing a box or two and stroking the office pup!
- We need ambitious and driven candidates looking to progress in their careers for this business. However, more importantly this is about your style; this is a business that is mission first and will expect you to be open to learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity to really step change your career and inject some serious wins on your CV. If you have the background we are looking for above, then please apply via LinkedIn or email me directly.
