Fleet Vehicle Technician - Technology-Enabled Logistics Operation | North West London
£28,000–£30,000 Basic Salary + excellent benefits
This is an opportunity to take your technical skills into a fast-moving, technology-led logistics environment where vehicle reliability directly supports a nationwide delivery operation.
You’ll join the in-house workshop team of an established logistics business with more than 20 years’ experience. Its services span urgent same-day deliveries, overnight distribution, international logistics, warehousing and fulfilment, all supported by technology that provides exceptional control and visibility.
Unlike a traditional retail garage position, your focus will be on keeping an operational fleet safe, reliable and ready for the road. You’ll solve real-world technical problems, take ownership of your work and see the immediate impact you have on the wider business.
The role:
Working from the company’s North West London operation, you’ll maintain and repair a varied fleet of vehicles. From routine servicing and safety inspections to diagnostics and fault resolution, you’ll help maximise vehicle availability while maintaining consistently high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
- Completing repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Carrying out scheduled inspections and vehicle safety checks.
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Working closely with the Workshop Manager to prioritise workload.
- Completing job cards and technical documentation accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensuring all work meets company, industry and health and safety standards.
What we’re looking for:
We’re interested in technicians who take pride in doing the job properly and enjoy finding practical solutions to technical problems.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Fleet Technician.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic ability.
- Good knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Confidence using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- The ability to interpret diagnostic information accurately.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently.
- Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to deliver quality work within operational deadlines.
- Clear communication and a collaborative attitude.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
If you’re a skilled technician looking for a fresh challenge where your expertise keeps a major logistics operation moving, we’d like to hear from you.
