Overview
Operations Manager – Mobility Services (Field & Depot) — Bristol (on-site 5 days per week) with local travel required. Full uniform provided; trade discounts on bikes & gear.
We’re supporting one of the UK’s most innovative mobility providers as they scale operations in Bristol. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role focused on operational delivery, workforce planning, and improving customer outcomes, while helping reshape how cities move.
With a growing field-based team of technicians and drivers, and a centrally located operations site, you’ll be accountable for the day-to-day performance, planning, and service quality in a role that blends logistics, leadership, and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of all on-site and mobile workforce operations.
- Plan, forecast, and deploy labour resources in line with operational demand.
- Deliver against service KPIs with a focus on reliability and safety.
- Manage team capability, performance, and development through coaching and reviews.
- Maintain accurate stock, equipment, and asset records including vehicles.
- Ensure the site adheres to Health & Safety and all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support continuous improvement, working cross-functionally with central teams.
- Uphold a professional, client-ready environment that reflects high operational standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations, logistics, or fleet-based environments.
- Background in supervisory or junior management roles with performance responsibility.
- Excellent resource planning, rota scheduling, and time management skills.
- Experience working to and delivering against service metrics/KPIs.
- Comfortable managing field-based teams and depot operations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., bikes or scooters) beneficial.
- Safety-first mindset with working knowledge of H&S compliance.
- Clear communicator with strong organisation and hands-on leadership style.
