The Job: This is a hands-on Network Engineer position where you'll be responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving a business-critical network infrastructure. You'll work across both cloud and traditional networking technologies, providing 3rd line technical expertise while helping deliver infrastructure projects that improve performance, resilience and security across the organisation. You'll be involved in designing, implementing and supporting networking solutions, troubleshooting complex technical issues and ensuring the environment continues to evolve as the business grows.
What You'll Actually Be Doing:
- Managing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure.
- Supporting Cisco networking, routing, switching and firewall technologies.
- Administering and supporting Microsoft Azure networking environments.
- Monitoring network performance and driving continuous improvements.
- Providing 3rd line technical support for complex networking issues.
- Installing and commissioning new network infrastructure.
- Supporting Zero Trust and network security initiatives.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Participating in infrastructure projects and technology upgrades.
- Supporting business-critical systems through an on-call rota when required.
The Profile Of Person Required: We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer who enjoys working in technically challenging environments and takes pride in delivering secure, reliable infrastructure. You should be able to demonstrate experience with:
- Enterprise Cisco networking including switching, routing and firewalls.
- Microsoft Azure networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Network security technologies and best practices.
- 3rd line support within a complex technical environment.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex networking issues.
- Delivering infrastructure improvements and technical projects.
- Working with both cloud and on-premise network environments.
- Creating clear technical documentation.
Experience with technologies such as Meraki, Azure Firewall, VPNs, Zero Trust Networking, network monitoring tools or relevant networking certifications would be highly advantageous. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, taking ownership of critical infrastructure and working within a business that continues to invest in modern networking technologies and the people who support them.
