A fast-growing B2B technology business operating at the heart of the UK automotive retail ecosystem. They sell a sophisticated suite of digital solutions that directly impact dealer profitability, stock efficiency and commercial decision-making across new and used vehicles. Their customers range from single-site independents to large multi-site dealer groups, and the business is increasingly engaging at board and group director level.

This is a front-end, hunter role responsible solely for winning new automotive retail partners, taking full ownership from first cold contact through to signed commercial agreement. Once deals are closed, accounts are handed over, and success is measured on new logos and revenue won, not relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively sourcing and qualifying net new B2B opportunities within automotive retail.
  • Heavy outbound prospecting via cold calls, LinkedIn, email and face-to-face meetings.
  • Engaging senior decision-makers including Dealer Principals, Group Directors, Heads of Sales & Marketing.
  • Running structured, commercial discovery focused on revenue, margin, stock turn and ROI.
  • Delivering confident, value-led demonstrations to senior stakeholders.
  • Building and managing a robust, forecastable new business pipeline.
  • Negotiating and closing commercial agreements with authority.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data and sales forecasting.
  • Feeding market insight, objections and competitor intelligence back into leadership.

You will be trusted to open doors, create momentum and close deals with minimal hand-holding.

The Person:

We are looking for serious B2B new business professionals who are comfortable being uncomfortable. You will be a strong fit if you:

  • Have a proven track record of winning net new B2B business.
  • Are experienced in outbound-led sales environments (SaaS, automotive tech, marketplaces, digital media or similar).
  • Are comfortable with cold calling senior stakeholders and handling objections.
  • Understand how automotive dealerships operate commercially.
  • Can confidently sell value, performance and ROI, not just features.
  • Run a disciplined pipeline and can forecast accurately.
  • Are resilient, competitive and motivated by targets.
  • Take full ownership of results without needing micromanagement.

Experience selling into automotive retail is highly desirable, but new business capability and mindset are essential.

If you are a true hunter who enjoys opening doors, challenging prospects and being rewarded for deals closed, not accounts retained, this is a role where your performance will be visible, valued and financially rewarded.
