Job Role: Finance Manager
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, reporting directly to the CEO You’ll lead core aspects of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tight control over the general ledger, and robust month-end processes. This is a hands-on role where you\’ll be expected to own the numbers, drive improvements in processes and systems, and support wider business decision-making through insightful analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Preparing timely and accurate management accounts and financial reports.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assisting with system improvements and process automation.
- Providing ad hoc analysis and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
Profile of Person:
This role suits a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will be confident taking ownership of financial processes while also being a team player who enjoys collaboration and continuous improvement.
You will ideally have:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA – finalist or qualified).
- Proven experience in financial or accounting roles within the automotive sector.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, month-end routines, and reporting requirements.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Sage accounting system.
- A hands-on attitude with the ability to problem-solve and implement solutions.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
