We’re working with one of the UK’s most exciting premium challenger brands in the pet category. Founder-led, mission-driven and growing rapidly across UK retail, this business has built real consumer pull and strong listings and is now entering its next phase of scale.
They’re hiring a Senior Commercial Manager to act as a true Number 2 to the Sales Director — someone who can combine commercial delivery with leadership, structure and strategic thinking.
The Role
This is not just about managing accounts. You will:
- Lead key UK grocery retail customers, owning strategy, JBP and P&L
- Support and mentor more junior commercial team members
- Help build capability, structure and rhythm into a growing sales function
- Identify strategic growth opportunities across wholesale, convenience & wider channels
- Work cross-functionally with brand, supply chain and operations to ensure execution excellence
- Be a sounding board to the Sales Director on channel strategy and expansion
You will have both autonomy and influence. This role sits at the heart of how the business scales responsibly and profitably.
The Profile
We’re looking for a commercially experienced operator with gravitas. You might be:
- A strong NAM / SNAM ready for broader ownership and leadership
- A Commercial Manager looking for a more entrepreneurial, high-impact environment
- A parent returning to work who wants senior responsibility with structured flexibility
- Someone who values outcomes over optics
This role can support reduced hours or structured flexibility for the right individual. The business is focused on delivery, not presenteeism. Experience in branded FMCG and leading national grocery accounts is essential.
Why This Is Different
- Premium, mission-led consumer brand with genuine differentiation
- Founder access and meaningful influence
- High visibility internally and externally
- A team-building opportunity not just account maintenance
- Only 1 day per week required in London HQ
- Flexibility built around trust
This is a pivotal role in a business that is scaling quickly but thoughtfully. If you want commercial responsibility, leadership exposure and room to shape growth, this is worth a conversation.
