Following continued growth and increased investment in their product function, they are looking to appoint an Associate Product Owner to support the delivery and evolution of a portfolio of highly successful software products.
The Role:
We are seeking an Associate Product Owner to work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering and key business stakeholders to drive product improvements and deliver valuable new functionality to customers. You will play a key role in translating business requirements into clear development priorities, managing product backlogs, supporting Agile delivery teams and helping shape the future direction of the product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain product backlogs across multiple development initiatives.
- Gather, document and refine business and customer requirements.
- Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
- Work closely with software engineering teams throughout Agile delivery cycles.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and release activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise enhancements and product improvements.
- Analyse customer feedback and product performance data to support decision making.
- Support the successful rollout of new features and product updates.
- Act as a key liaison between business users, customers and development teams.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 1–3 years' experience within a Product Owner, Product Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role from within the automotive sector.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Strong understanding of user stories, requirements gathering and backlog management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance customer requirements with business and technical priorities.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working across multiple teams.
