We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This would suit someone looking for one or two days work per week, but could include weekends. The hours can at times be flexible as we can often arrange the work around your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV Class 1 lorries, including flatbed vehicles, in compliance with all legal and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
  • Collect/Deliver goods from/to designated locations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Secure all loads appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
  • Communicate effectively with the office regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Adhere to all driving regulations, including tachograph rules and hours of service legislation.
  • Assist with loading and unloading, ensuring proper handling of goods.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a commercial driver, with delivery driver experience involving flatbed lorries.
  • Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with UK road networks is advantageous.
