WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN
Salary – £23,650.77 (£12.21 per hour) plus performance bonus
Are you an enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn with an interest in all things automotive?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for somebody who has a keen eye for detail and enjoys being hands-on, no experience is necessary as full training will be provided to help you become an experienced Electronics Rework Technician.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reworking ECUs (Electronic Control Units) for vehicles in our state-of -the-art electronics laboratory. These are small, embedded computers that run various functions of the modern vehicle such as the engine, gearbox, ABS brakes, electric power steering, and much more!
We are based conveniently between Nottingham and Derby centres, nestled on the entrance to one of the regions finest country parks (Shipley Country Park), boasting 700 acres of beautiful landscape popular for relaxed café dining, walking, fishing, biking and horse-riding.
You will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Testing electronic vehicle parts.
- Stripping and reworking PCB\’s (Printed circuit boards).
- Soldering circuits and replacing small surface-mounted components, often with the aid of a binocular microscope.
- Following written SOPs (Standard operating procedures).
- Using bespoke and modified software applications to interrogate and reprogram electronic control units.
- Using company workflow management software application to record all work undertaken.
