Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting Van Drivers on behalf of our public sector client to support a fast‐paced Waste & Cleansing Department in Edinburgh West. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable, hands‐on drivers who enjoy outdoor work and being part of a team that makes a real difference to the city.
Location: Edinburgh West
Hours of Work: 4 days on / 4 days off 06:00 17:02 (45‐minute break)
Pay Rate: £14.02 £15.68 per hour
Temporary, ongoing work
Your Key Responsibilities
Driving a range of vehicles including cage vehicles, litter press, Hako and sweepers
Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
Manual handling and heavy lifting, including loading and special uplifts
Completing daily vehicle checks and associated paperwork
Carrying out general street cleansing duties such as sweeping, litter picking and weeding
Helping to keep Edinburgh clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors
Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Maximum of 6 points on your licence
Previous driving experience
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
