Hooklift Driver

Location: Edinburgh

Job Type: Temporary ongoing

Rate of pay: £15.53 per hour

Working Hours: 4 days on 4 days off, 40 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a skilled Hooklift Driver to support operations at our client’s busy Recycling Centre. You will play a crucial role in the efficient collection and transport of recyclable materials, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate hooklift vehicles to collect and transport recycling containers.
• Deliver materials to and from various recycling facilities and client sites.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with safety standards.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
• Work closely with the recycling team to maintain high operational efficiency.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Current CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid tacho card.
• Previous experience operating hooklift vehicles is desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of Edinburgh’s road network and surrounding areas.
• A positive attitude and ability to work independently.
