We are recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst to join the internal IT team of a well-established UK engineering and technology business, based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being user-facing but also wants hands-on technical exposure beyond a standard first-line service desk. You'll be the first point of contact for IT support while also gaining involvement in infrastructure, security, and project work.

The Role

As a Service Desk Analyst, you will provide first-line IT support to users across the business, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, managed, and resolved in line with agreed SLAs. You'll also support a range of operational and project-based activities, working closely with the wider IT team. You will be seen as the face of IT, dealing with users at all levels and helping to deliver a consistently high level of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, telephony (fixed and mobile), and network connectivity.
  • Log, manage, and progress incidents and service requests via the service desk system.
  • Support desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices across multiple locations.
