MySQL Database Administrator

Requirements

Must have:

– Proven experience as a MySQL DBA in enterprise environments – Strong hands-on experience with MySQL deployment and implementation – Experience with performance tuning, indexing and query optimisation – Solid understanding of backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies – Comfortable working independently in a delivery-focused contract role

Responsibilities:

– Deploying and implementing MySQL database environments – Supporting database builds, configuration and migration activities – Performance tuning, optimisation and stability during deployment phases – Managing backups, recovery and high availability configurations – Supporting go-live and handover into BAU operations – Working closely with infrastructure, application and delivery teams

This role is predominantly remote, with occasional on-site travel to Surrey for key delivery activities.
