Job Description
5x days a week on site in Milton Keynes Inside IR352 Month Contract ECS Resource Group are currently working in partnership with a global managed service provider, assisting them with the search for a 2nd Line Support Engineer on a contract basis.
Key
Responsibilities: Provide onsite Level 2 IT support across a mixed Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac environment, resolving a broad range of hardware, software and end-user issues.
Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services, Windows devices, Mac devices and on-premises server infrastructure, ensuring reliable day-to-day IT operations.
Act as the primary onsite escalation point, troubleshooting complex technical issues and coordinating with third-party providers for specialist support when required.
Work collaboratively with the IT Manager and internal IT team to ensure efficient incident resolution, service continuity and a high standard of customer support.
Assist with infrastructure monitoring, system administration and proactive maintenance while documenting issues, resolutions and technical processes.
Key Skills Proven experience providing Level 2 IT support within a Microsoft 365, Windows, Mac and on-premises server environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Windows desktop support, Active Directory and general server troubleshooting.
Experience working alongside third-party vendors, including coordinating support for VMware infrastructure, Sophos firewall and antivirus solutions and remote Mac support providers.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an onsite support role.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal IT teams and external service providers.
