I am working with one of the world's leading and most well-manufacturing brands who have an outstanding track record and reputation for innovation and quality. They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Home Improvement & Distribution Division and sell into some of the largest and most well-known distributors throughout the UK and Europe.

As a Business Development Manager you will:

  • Identify new opportunities, customers and market trends within the consumer sector and channels.
  • Drive new business across the UK within the home improvement sector.
  • Create consistent growth by developing detailed business cases and commercial strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across marketing, supply chain and sales.
  • Forge new partnerships, alliances and licensing opportunities to create long term success.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis and assessments to guide strategic decisions.
  • Support the pilot launches and testing of new products.
  • Deliver business plans to senior leadership.
  • Drive innovation, brand and quality principles.

Skills & Expertise

  • Demonstrable success in business development, strategic sales or commercial growth roles.
  • Retail, FMCG or Consumer Products experience.
  • Excellent track record of winning new business and opening new accounts.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional projects and influencing multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of category management principles.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Degree qualified in Business, Marketing or a related discipline (preferred).
