ECS Resource Group are currently working in partnership with a global managed service provider, assisting them with the search for a TrueSight Engineer on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be working with a Telecoms end client across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain BMC TrueSight Operations Management to deliver proactive monitoring across enterprise infrastructure, applications, cloud environments and network services.
- Develop and optimise monitoring policies, event correlation rules and alerting thresholds to improve service visibility, minimise false positives and enable early identification of performance issues.
- Install, upgrade, patch and support the TrueSight platform, including monitoring agents, Integration Services, Presentation Server, and Infrastructure Management components, ensuring platform stability and availability.
- Create operational dashboards and reporting solutions that provide real-time insight into system health, service availability, capacity trends, incident management and SLA performance for technical and business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot monitoring platform issues, automate routine administration using scripting and APIs and integrate TrueSight with enterprise ITSM and monitoring tools to streamline operational processes.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting BMC TrueSight Operations Management within complex enterprise environments.
- Proven knowledge of infrastructure monitoring across Windows and Linux servers, VMware, databases, web and middleware platforms, storage, cloud services (Azure/AWS) and network infrastructure.
- Experience configuring monitoring policies, event management, alert correlation, suppression and service integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting and REST APIs to support deployment, configuration, reporting and platform maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with experience integrating monitoring solutions with ITSM platforms and enterprise technologies such as ServiceNow, Splunk, VMware vCenter, Microsoft SCOM and Active Directory.
