We’re looking for a strategic, systems-minded Service Designer to support major digital transformation and IT-enabled service improvement programmes. This role sits at the heart of agile multidisciplinary teams, shaping end-to-end services that are efficient, scalable and genuinely user-centred. You’ll work across the full lifecycle — from discovery through to live — mapping current and future states, aligning digital solutions with operational realities, and helping organisations modernise complex services.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing end-to-end services across people, process and technology
  • Leading service blueprinting, journey mapping and ecosystem design
  • Supporting large-scale transformation and efficiency initiatives
  • Facilitating workshops and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Embedding accessibility, inclusion and measurable outcomes into services
  • Using data and evidence to drive confident decision-making
  • Working within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in digital transformation and IT service environments in the central government/Public Sector (Essential)
  • Ability to simplify complexity and design scalable, sustainable services
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and large stakeholder groups
  • Experience working across operational, policy and technical boundaries
  • Confident communicating the value of service design at all levels
  • Familiar with tools such as Miro, Lucid and Figma
  • Experience working to government or enterprise digital standards is highly desirable
  • Ideal for someone experienced in complex sectors such as education, social care, justice or other regulated environments.
