ECS Resource Group are currently working in partnership with a global managed service provider, assisting them with the search for a Solutions Network Architect on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be working with a Telecoms end client across various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end solution design and technical governance of complex telecommunications projects, acting as a Design Authority across Core Network domains including 5G SA Core, IMS/VoLTE, Packet Core, Messaging, HSS and OSS environments.
- Assess new business initiatives, project concepts, and emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with network strategy, architectural standards and long‑term business objectives.
- Define, curate, and manage business and technical requirements, translating high-level concepts into robust, scalable and commercially viable network solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, providing technical leadership from solution conception through design, implementation and delivery.
- Support the evolution of network capabilities across both mobile and fixed connectivity services, including Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), SD‑WAN, enterprise networking and corporate access solutions.
Key Skills
- Extensive experience in solution architecture and design within telecommunications networks, with deep expertise in one or more domains such as 5G SA Core, IMS/VoLTE, Packet Core, HSS, Messaging or OSS.
- Demonstrable experience across multiple network disciplines, with the ability to design and deliver solutions spanning more than one technical domain (e.g., Voice, Data, Core Networks, Service Delivery or RAN).
- Strong understanding of telecommunications architecture frameworks, network strategy development and the governance processes required to deliver complex transformation programmes.
- Proven ability to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements, producing high‑quality solution designs and architectural artefacts.
- Broad knowledge of emerging connectivity technologies, including RAN, Fixed Line Networks, FWA, SD‑WAN and enterprise networking solutions, with the ability to evaluate their application within a wider network ecosystem.
