We’re looking for a Junior Service Delivery Engineer to join a busy on‑site IT support team in Cumbria. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career or looking to build hands‑on experience in a real working environment. You’ll be fully supported with training and development, making this an ideal role if you have a basic IT understanding and a strong willingness to learn.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing on‑site deskside support to end users (hardware & software issues)
- Setting up and delivering IT equipment (laptops, phones, tablets, etc.)
- Troubleshooting everyday IT problems in a Windows environment
- Supporting users face‑to‑face to keep them up and running
- Managing your own support tickets and working to targets
- Assisting with hardware rollouts, upgrades, and other IT projects
- Helping with simple break‑fix tasks on devices (training provided)
This is a hands‑on role, so you’ll be actively working across customer sites rather than office‑based (don’t worry they are all on the same grounds!).
What we’re looking for:
- Basic IT knowledge (Windows, hardware, Microsoft applications)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good problem‑solving ability
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
- Must be 21+
- Happy to work on‑site full time
What’s in it for you?
- Full training provided to build your technical skills
- Opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across different systems and environments
- Exposure to projects such as device rollouts and upgrades
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and wants to grow their career in IT support.
