My client is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead continuous improvements in the sites Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Management Systems. This role will focus on driving risk assessments incident investigations and cultural improvement initiatives that enhance safety standards across the site.
You will provide technical guidance and lead risk reduction efforts within a dynamic environment that involves the assembly and production of breathing apparatus and filters as well as the safe introduction of new equipment. Success in this role will rely on your ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and departments while playing an active part in both the West Europe EHS team and the Skelmersdale site leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Lead enhancements in the sites EHS Management Systems.
- Support risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Promote EHS cultural improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and lead risk reduction efforts.
- Manage hazards related to the production of breathing apparatus and filters.
- Support the safe introduction of new equipment.
- Collaborate with employees across all levels and departments.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Western Europe EHS team.
- Participate in the site leadership team at Skelmersdale
Skills & Experience Required
- NEBOSH diploma or an equivalent qualification in an EHS-related field
- Experience in EHS management
- Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience in collaborating with production teams
- Proven ability in managing coaching and leading a team
- Skilled in fostering collaboration inspiring persuading and influencing others
- Excellent listener with strong oral and written communication abilities
