We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared VCF/NSX Architect with expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF9) and associated technologies, including VCF9 and NSX. The successful candidate will support a VCF9 greenfield engagement, leading the design, requirements gathering and deployment planning activities across both the customer and their key supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate structured design and requirements-gathering workshops with the customer and key third-party suppliers, ensuring alignment on business objectives, technical constraints and the overall VCF9 greenfield architecture.
- Produce and own high-quality design documentation and deployment workbooks for the VCF9 implementation, including logical and physical designs, bill of materials, configuration standards and implementation runbooks.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance throughout the deployment lifecycle, including build validation, design assurance and adherence to best practice across compute, storage, networking, NSX and security domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the cloud architecture with business objectives, provide technical leadership, troubleshoot issues relating to VCF and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active SC Clearance.
- Proven experience as a VCF9 Architect, or in a similar architecture role.
- Demonstrable experience leading design and requirements-gathering workshops across both customers and key suppliers.
- Extensive knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation architecture and associated technologies.
- Hands-on experience with VCF9 and NSX.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and virtualisation concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and translate complex technical solutions into clear, business-focused outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP or VCDX.
- Experience delivering large-scale cloud migration or transformation projects.
- Familiarity with additional VMware products and solutions.
